Making mistakes

If it was not for erasable coloured pencils I would be tearing the pages and starting all over. The way the ink concentrates at a single letter, the coloured lines that need to be more straight, or the squashed letters that can be confused for another. To a perfectionist, these would be reasons to take a long time is completing notes or would even create a hurdle in attempting to write things in colours or ink that would leave a permanent mistake. It makes movement more rigid and can even cripple creativity at times.

The fear of making a mistake that would remain in the slate of time, for someone else to observe, is enough to deter a person from venturing into a new project. It is facing that fear is what distinguishes big achievers that other. If one makes a move, one should expect the possibility of a slip. Yet, mistakes are bound to happen and they should not stop one from ever trying. With each mistake the reasons should be noted and then a plan to overcome these can be set forth and may serve as a template for future projects. It is through trying that one learns and it is far better to learn than remain idle in the hands of time.
